What is a card break?

A card break is where a group of collectors each buy a slot in a box opening. Cards are divided by team or randomly, and each participant receives the cards from their assigned team or slot. It's a great way to get into premium products at a fraction of the cost.

Where do the breaks happen?

All of our breaks are streamed live on Whatnot. You can find us at @AltairBreaks. Follow our channel to get notified when a new break goes live.

How are slots assigned?

Slots are assigned randomly using a live randomiser on stream before the break begins. Every participant has an equal and fair chance.

What formats do you run?

We run a variety of break formats including team breaks, random breaks, and pick-your-team breaks. The format is always listed on the break listing before you purchase.

Question 5

What if I miss the live break?

Accepted Answer

No problem — your slot is still valid and your cards will be pulled and shipped regardless of whether you watch live. Breaks are also saved on Whatnot so you can catch the replay.

When will I receive my cards?

Cards from breaks are shipped within 3–5 business days after the break concludes. You'll receive a tracking number via email once your order has been dispatched.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship within the UK. If you're based outside the UK and interested in purchasing, please get in touch via our contact page and we'll do our best to help.

How are cards packaged?

All cards are carefully packed in top loaders or card savers, wrapped in team bags, and shipped in bubble mailers or boxes depending on the quantity. We take packaging seriously.

What if my cards arrive damaged?

In the unlikely event your cards arrive damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos and we'll make it right. Customer satisfaction is our priority.

Are all your cards authentic?

Absolutely. Every product we stock and every card we sell is 100% genuine. We source directly from trusted distributors and all graded cards are certified by PSA or BGS.

What grading companies do you use?

We work with PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator) and BGS (Beckett Grading Services) — the two most recognised and trusted grading companies in the hobby.
